King Zhuanlun (Wheel-Turning King, Tenth Court)

King Zhuanlun Xue presides over the Tenth Court of the Underworld, residing beyond the Wo Jiao Stone in the netherworld and overseeing the Wheel-Turning Platform of Karmic Retribution. Souls who have undergone judgment across the first nine courts arrive here for final adjudication: based on their accumulated merits and transgressions, King Zhuanlun determines their precise rebirth—whether into nobility or servitude, masculinity or femininity, wealth or poverty—all strictly governed by their past karma. After drinking Meng Po’s Forgetfulness Soup to erase memories of previous lives, souls are dispatched to their designated realms of rebirth. His birthday falls on the 17th day of the 4th lunar month; on this day, devotees hold rituals and specially convened Wheel-Turning Holy Assemblies in his honour, affirming the cosmic order of rebirth and the inescapable correspondence between moral conduct and karmic recompense.
