Origin & Legend

Guangcheng Zi is the foremost disciple of Yuanshi Tianzun among the Twelve Golden Immortals of Kunlun Mountain and resides in the Peach-Blossom Grotto on Jiuxian Mountain. Legend holds that the Yellow Emperor once sought instruction from Guangcheng Zi, who taught him that the essence of the Supreme Dao is profoundly obscure and ineffable—making this encounter one of the foundational myths of Daoism. During the Investiture of the Gods war, Guangcheng Zi deployed his sect’s treasured artifact, the Heaven-Toppling Seal, slaying the Fiery Spirit Holy Mother and shattering the Golden Light Holy Mother’s Golden Light Formation, thereby delivering decisive victories against the Jie Sect. Revered as the foremost disciple beneath the rank of Sage, his mere deployment of the Heaven-Toppling Seal compelled even other immortals to retreat. Culturally, he embodies the orthodox lineage of the Chan Sect and the Daoist tradition of cultivation and transcendence.
