Origin & Legend
Chijing Zi is one of the Twelve Golden Immortals of Kunlun Mountain and resides in Yunxiao Cave on Mount Taihua. During the Investiture of the Gods War, he accepted Yin Hong as his disciple and bestowed upon him sacred treasures including the Yin-Yang Mirror. Yet after descending the mountain, Yin Hong broke his oath and aided the Shang dynasty. When Chijing Zi attempted to reclaim his wayward disciple, the Yin-Yang Mirror was seized from him; only after great hardship—and with the aid of the Taiji Diagram—did he finally subdue Yin Hong, witnessing his own disciple reduced to ashes before his eyes, lamenting the tragic rupture of their master-disciple bond. Chijing Zi also employed the Taiji Diagram to rescue his fellow immortal Guangcheng Zi and led the destruction of malevolent arrays such as the Wind-Roar Array deployed by the Jiejiao sect, embodying the profound moral tension within the Chanjiao sect: deep personal loyalty and affection coexisting with unwavering adherence to heavenly mandate.
